Paul in his Mazda RX3 went well over the weekend, this rotor sounded fantastic, Paul’s best time was also on his last run on Sunday with a time of 55.26 sec, he finish 2nd in this Class and 63rd outright.

Running in Racing Cars – Formula Libre (Log Book) Class was Daniel Duffield (RPV01-B) and Warwick Hutchinson (RPV03 OMS28)

Daniel Duffield was driving his Dad’s Turbo 13B Rotary open wheeler (RPV01-B) it was good to see this car back at the Leyburn Sprints again. This was the first official event for Daniel driving the open wheeler and he drove the car very well. He finished all of the 5 runs with no issues, until the start of the 6th run when the drive shaft broke at the start line. This resulted on no more runs for Daniel, but with the improvements he showed over the 5 runs I am sure that Daniel would have got even faster on the last 2 runs, but that is motor racing as they say. Daniel best time was on his 5th run on Sunday with a time of 50.30 sec, he finish 7th in this Class and 18th outright this was an excellent result for such a young driver, lookout for Daniel next year.

Warwick Hutchinson driving his new Rotary open wheeler (RPV03 OMS28) Warwick’s fastest time was on the 6th run with a time of 45.07 sec. he finished 4th in this Class and 4th outright.
