Hillclimb Results – Round 4 Carric Accounting Series 4th & 5Th August 2018

Results of Carric Accounting Hillclimb Series Mt Cotton – Round 4 (4^th & 5^Th August 2018)

This was the fourth round for the Hillclimb season for 2018.

This was a 2 day event starting at 11.00 am on Saturday and finishing on Sunday afternoon. There were a good number of spectators all eager to watch the 71 competitors that had entered this event.

This Hillclimb had 4 rotary Hillclimb racing cars running in 3 different classes.

David Jackson was running his RX7 in Regularity Class.

David’s RX7 first run on Saturday with a time of 55.96 sec down to a 50.08 sec on the 3^rd run of the day on Sunday.

Cameron Hurman in his Mazda RX7 running in Sports Cars (Closed) 2001cc & Over Class.

Cameron did not run at all on Saturday by the did all of the 7 runs on Sunday. Cameron’s best time was his last run on Sunday with a time of 49.98 sec.

Daniel Duffield & Warwick Hutchinson were running in entered Formula Libre – 1301cc & over.

Daniel Duffield could not run on Saturday due to work commitments however he did run 5 runs on Sunday.

This was the one of the first times he had run the RPV01B at Mt Cotton and Daniel did extremely well his first run was 60.40 sec he end up with a time of 51.86 sec considering the car was not running correctly.

Warwick Hutchinson in his (RPV03-OMS28)

His first run on Saturday was 42.13 sec, his best time was the last run on Sunday with a time of 40.61 sec.

The 3 Rotary Hillclimb Racing Cars competing in this Hillclimb, their best times are listed below.

David Jackson (Mazda RX7) 54.08 sec – (37 points in Class & 45^th Outright)

Cameron Hurman (Mazda RX7) 49.48 sec – (1^st in Class & 25^th Outright)

Daniel Duffield (RPV01B – 13B Turbo) 51.86 sec – (5^th in Class & 34^th Outright)

Warwick Hutchinson (RPV03 – 13B Turbo) 41.47 sec – (3^rd in Class & 4^th Outright)

Outright Results were –

1^st Dean Tighe (Dallara F396) – 37.31

2^nd Michael Von Rapard (Dallara Hayabusa) – 37.51

3^rd Jim Milliner (OMS 2000) – 40.23

4^th Warwick Hutchinson (OMS28 – RPV03) – 40.16

5^th Ed McCane (DJ Firehawk) – 41.04

6^th David Quelch (Honda DPQ Special) – 41.66
