Hillclimb Results – Round 3 Carric Accounting Series 30th June & 1st July 2018

Results of Carric Accounting Hillclimb Series Mt Cotton – Round 3 (30^th June & 1^st July 2018)

This was the third round for the Hillclimb season for 2018.

This was a 2 day event starting at 11.00 Am on Saturday and finishing on Sunday afternoon. There were a good number of spectators all eager to watch the 76 competitors that had entered this event.

Saturday was fine weather however that was very different on Sunday with rain all day.

This Hillclimb had 3 rotary Hillclimb racing cars entered in 3 different classes.

David Jackson was running his RX7 in Regularity Class.

David’s RX7 first run on Saturday with a time of 57.74 sec down to a 55.99 sec on the 2nd run of the day on Saturday.

Cameron Hurman in his Mazda RX7 running in Sports Cars (Closed) 2001cc & Over Class. Cameron’s best time was his 3^rd run on Saturday with a time of 49.37 sec.

Warwick Hutchinson in his New Open wheel race car (RPV03) entered Formula Libre – 1301cc & over. His first run on Saturday was 44.85 sec, his best time was the 4^th run on Saturday with a time of 41.47 sec.

The 3 Rotary Hillclimb Racing Cars competing in this Hillclimb, their best times are listed below.

David Jackson (Mazda RX7) 55.84 sec – (24 points in Class & 52^nd Outright)

Cameron Hurman (Mazda RX7) 49.37 sec – (1^st in Class & 24^th Outright)

Warwick Hutchinson (RPV03 13B Turbo) 41.47 sec – (3^rd in Class & 5^th Outright)

1^st Dean Tighe (Dallara F396) – 37.00

2^nd Michael Von Rapard (Dallara Hayabusa) – 38.38

3^rd Jim Milliner (OMS 2000) – 40.57

4^th Paul Van Wijk (OMS Hornet) – 41.17

5^th Warwick Hutchinson (OMS28 – RPV03) – 41.47

6^th Ed McCane (DJ Firehawk) – 41.81
