Hillclimb Results Round 1 – TSA & SR Automotive Hillclimb Series 28th Feb-1st March 2015

TSA & SR Automotive Hillclimb Series Mt Cotton – Round 1 (28th Feb & 1st March 2015)

This was the first round for the Hillclimb season for 2015. This year the series is proudly sponsored by TSA (Trenching Systems Australia) and SR Automotive (Stewart Reid Automotive). Without their support this series would not have been organized. So thank you to both companies for supporting Australian “Grass Roots” motorsport.

This was a 2 day event starting at 11.30 Am on Saturday and finishing on Sunday afternoon. The weather for Saturday was extremely hot and humid, all the competitors that attacked the track, with only a few mishaps over the day. There were a large number of spectators all eager to watch the 87 competitors that had entered this event. One of the cars that had an issue on the first run was Michael Von-Rappard, he broke the diff as he started and this put the car out of contention for outright times and the top six challenge, this was very disappointing as both Michael & Harold put on a great battle for the faster cars. We hope to see them both back for the 2nd round.

David’s RX7 was competing in this first round of the series and improved from his first run on Saturday with a time of 60.695 sec down to a 55.02 sec on the last run of the day on Sunday. It was great to see David trimming his times down, hope to see his times dropping the more runs he gets.
