Results of Carric Accounting Hillclimb Series Mt Cotton – Round 4 (20th & 21st July 2019)
This was the fourth round at Mt Cotton Hillclimb for the 2019 season.
This was a 2 day event starting at 11.00 am on Saturday and finishing on Sunday afternoon. The weather for Saturday & Sunday was a typical beautiful Queensland winter, with only a few mishaps over the day. There were a large number of spectators all eager to watch the 69 competitors that had entered this event.
The highlight for the event was Jim Milliner cracking into the 38’s run with a time of 38.97 in the top six shootout well done Jim and team outstanding effort.
This Hillclimb had 3 rotary Hillclimb racing cars entered in 3 different classes.
Stephen Torphey, David Jackson & Warwick Hutchinson.
David Jackson was running his RX7 in Regularity Class.
David’ only did 1 run on Saturday RX7 his time was 54.88 sec.
Stephen Torphey in his Mazda RX7 (12A Turbo) was running in Sports Cars (Closed) 2001cc & Over Class.
Stephen only ran on Sunday completing 6 runs. Stephen’s best time was on his last run on Sunday with a time of 49.96 sec.
Warwick Hutchinson in his Open wheel race car (RPV03 – 13B Turbo) entered Formula Libre – 1301cc & over.
His first run on Saturday was 39.91 sec, his fastest run was his 4th run on Sunday with a time of 38.93sec.

Stephen Torphey in his Mazda RX7 (12A Turbo) 49.96 sec – (1st in Class & 31st Outright)
Warwick Hutchinson (RPV03 13B Turbo) 38.93sec – (2nd in Class & 2nd Outright)
