Results of Carric Accounting Hillclimb Series Mt Cotton – Round 3 (22nd & 23rd June 2019)
This was the third round at Mt Cotton Hillclimb for the 2019 season.
This was a 2 day event starting at 11.00 am on Saturday and finishing on Sunday afternoon. The weather for the both days was fine and sunny. There were a large number of spectators all eager to watch the 71 competitors that had entered this event.
This Hillclimb had 3 rotary Hillclimb racing cars entered in 3 different classes.
Stephen Torphey, David Jackson & Warwick Hutchinson.
David Jackson was running his RX7 in Regularity Class.
David’s RX7 first run on Saturday was 57.46 sec he managed to get his time down to 54.67 sec on the 4th run of the day on Sunday.
Stephen Torphey in his Mazda RX7 (12A Turbo) running in Sports Cars (Closed) 2001cc & Over Class.
Stephen also only ran 7 of the 11 official runs over the weekend. Stephen’s best time was on his 4th run on Sunday with a time of 51.00 sec.
Warwick Hutchinson in his Open wheel race car (RPV03 – 13B Turbo) entered Formula Libre – 1301cc & over.
His first run on Saturday was 41.99 sec, his fastest run was his last run on Sunday with a time of 40.89sec.

David Jackson (Mazda RX7) 55.43 sec – (46 points in Class & 49th Outright)
Stephen Torphey in his Mazda RX7 (12A Turbo) 52.04 sec – (1st in Class & 38th Outright)
Warwick Hutchinson (RPV03 13B Turbo) 40.39 sec – (3rd in Class & 4th Outright)
