TIGHE CAMS HILLCLIMB, ROUND 7, Sunday, 29th November 09.
It started out as another hot day at Mt Cotton for the round 7 of the Tighe Cams Hillclimb Series and the last Hillclimb for the year. The weather was hot and dry, ideal for some fast times with 108 competitors this round we were expecting a great days Hillclimbing, but the weather had other plans. After the first 2 runs a typical Queensland storm rolled in and dumped lots and lots of rain on the track making conditions very wet.
The rotary hillclimb racing car (RPV02) of Warwick has finally achieved a sub 40s run he did a 39.82 sec run on the 2nd run of the day just before the rain came and made the conditions very wet indeed.
Darren Duffield in his RPV01 had turbo blow-off valve issues and only found the problem just before the rain came so he was unable to get a better time than his second run of the day of 42.29.
