TSA & SR Automotive Hillclimb Series Mt Cotton – Round 6 (28th & 29th Nov. 2015)
This was the 6th round for the Hillclimb season for 2015, sponsored by TSA (Trenching Systems Australia) and SR Automotive (Stewart Reid Automotive). This was a 2 day event starting at 11.30 am on Saturday and finishing on Sunday afternoon. All the 98 competitors had a total of 8 official runs over the 2 days.
Saturday was very hot but the track was in great condition for fast times.

Sunday saw more hot and sunny conditions and a lot of records were broken, Paul Buccini in his BMW 135i broke his class record again with a time of 46.70, great to see Paul well done, it was also a good turnout of open wheelers with 13 running in the different classes.
This Hillclimb had 4 rotary Hillclimb racing cars entered in 3 different classes.
Cameron Hurman running his Mazda RX7 in Mod. Prod, Road Reg. – 2001cc & over. Cameron’s first run on Saturday was a time of 51.24 sec. Cameron did all 8 official runs over the 2 days his first run on Sunday was his best for the weekend with a time of 49.58. Cameron finished 2nd in class and 38th outright. Cameron ended up 3rd in his class for the 6 Round Series well done Cameron good to see the rotors keeping the piston cars honest.

David Mowles running his Mazda RX7 also in Mod. Prod, Road Reg. – 2001cc & over. David’s first run was a time of 51.03 sec. David only did 7 official runs over the 2 days missing the last run on Sunday, his 2nd run on Saturday was his best for the weekend with a time of 49.82. David finished 3rd in class and 41st outright.

David Jackson was running his RX7 in Prod. & Inv. Cars, Inc. Road Reg. – 2001cc & Over. David’s did all 8 official runs over the 2 days his last run on Saturday was his best for the weekend with a time of 54.34. David finished 4th in this class and 66th outright.
Warwick’s Turbo Rotary Mt Cotton – Photo By Steve Johns
Warwick Hutchinson in his (RPV02) entered Formula Libre – 1301cc & over. His first run was 40.97 sec, he cut this time down to 38.84 sec on the 2nd run on Sunday. Warwick ended up 2nd in class and 2nd outright.

Cameron Hurman (Mazda RX7) 49.58 sec – (2nd in Class & 33rd Outright)
David Mowles (Mazda RX7) 49.82 sec – (3rd in class & 41st outright)
David Jackson (Mazda RX7) 54.66 sec – (4th in Class & 57th Outright)
Warwick Hutchinson (RPV02 13B Turbo) 38.86 sec – (2nd in class & 2nd outright)
