Hillclimb Results Round 4 – Hillclimb 11th & 12th July 2015

TSA & SR Automotive Hillclimb Series Mt Cotton – Round 4 (11th & 12 July 2015)

This was the fourth round for the Hillclimb season for 2015, sponsored by TSA (Trenching Systems Australia) and SR Automotive (Stewart Reid Automotive). This was a 2 day event starting at 11.30 am on Saturday and finishing on Sunday afternoon. All the 85 competitors had a total of 7 official runs over the 2 days.

Saturday started off well but the timing system stopped working a third of the way through the 2nd run, so the rest of the runs on Saturday were untimed. The timing was fixed over night by some if the hardworking MGCCQ members so everyone had times recorded on the Sunday.

It was great to see Darren back out in his car again, unfortunately Darren suffered a miss-fire in the engine on the Saturday but that was sorted out for Sunday, all it ended up was just a loose earth wire to the ECU. Darren was running well in his class until hitting a witches Hat with the front wing. The front wing endplate cut the rear RHS tire ending Darren’s weekend but Darren actually did a 42.82 sec run but when you hit a witches Hat this adds 5 sec to the time so his official last run was a 47.82 sec. Bugger maybe next Hillclimb. Darren ended up 4th in class and 6th outright with his best time of 43.81 sec.

Warwick Hutchinson in his (RPV02) entered Formula Libre – 1301cc & over.
