Hillclimb Results Round 2 – FOMC Hillclimb 20th & 21st July 2013

Friends Of Mt Cotton (FOMC) Hillclimb Round 2 on the 20th & 21st July 2013.

The weather for Saturday was wet but it cleared for Sunday this was a very welcome change from the rain that had fallen on Saturday. Although the sun was shining the track was still wet and drying, the competitors attacked the track with the respect it deserved, with only a few mishaps over day. There were only 63 competitors that had entered this event.

This Hillclimb had only 2 rotary hillclimb racing cars entered.

Jake Ballngton and Stephen Torpey both running Mazda RX7 in Marque Sports – 2001cc & over Class.

Jake did not run at all on Saturday and missed the first run on Sunday, his first official run was the 2nd run with a time of 56.15 sec this time reflected the still drying track conditions. Jake’s best time was his 4th run of the day with a time of 50.96 sec good to see other rotary Hillclimb racing car running at the Hill.

Stephen also did not run at all on Saturday, his first run was the 1st official run on Sunday morning with a time of 57.08, then his 2nd run of 55.06 & 3rd run of 54.27 Stephen’s best time for the day was his 4th Run with a time of 53.31 sec it was also very good to see another rotary running the Hillclimb and hopefully we see more cars at the next event.
