Hillclimb Results Round 3 at Noosa
TIGHE CAMS HILLCLIMB, ROUND 3, Saturday & Sunday, 20th & 21st Jun, 2009
After such beautiful weather for the Queensland’s last weekend Noosa didn’t produce the same, where the whole weekend rained for most part of it.
Saturday’s timed runs didn’t start until 1.30pm with only 2 runs and they were wet ones. Sunday morning track wasn’t much better with rain most of the night. The 1st run on Sunday was a wet one and most of the competitors with slick tyres didn’t run. The sun came out for a little while and dried the track a bit for the competitors with slick tyres to run, but rain then continue to come down. So the word in the pits was anyone with treaded tyres was going to be the winner for this weekend.

Mt Cootha Hillclimb, Saturday & Sunday, 30th & 31st May, 2009
This Hillclimb was held in association with the 150 year celebrations for Queensland. There were hillclimbs held on this track back in the 1920’s. We have been advised if everything ran smoothly with the Brisbane City Council, Qld Police Force and the locals this hillclimb will be gazette once a year for the next 5 years. So fingers crossed!! To show Queenslanders what type of Motorsport that is held in Qld the Historic Racing Car Club has featured different forms of motorsport. There were some racing and there were some demonstrations of vehicles ie Speedway cars and Historic Motorcycles.
